I came here 2 weeks ago to buy some paints for an upcoming project, so I asked an employee, Alex, who was very helpful in guiding me on what paints would work out best for my project! He was really helpful and kind! The customer service is a 10/10 here!

I had an amazing experience at Hobby Town Orland Park thanks to Steve. After crashing my RC car, I needed specific parts, and Steve went above and beyond to help me find everything I needed. His knowledge about RC cars is impressive, and he made the whole process easy and stress-free. The team there is super knowledgeable, and Steve's friendly and professional assistance really stood out. Highly recommend visiting Hobby Town and asking for Steve if you need expert help!

Bought my first scale model for the heck of it and realized I needed some model cement. Didn't want to wait for Amazon so I saw this was the closest hobby store. Was amazed immediately upon walking in. They have a HUGE selection of models (military, gundam, airplanes, etc), puzzles, and crafting items. Didn't explore too much in the back but looked to me like they had a ton of stuff for RC and slot cars. Definitely coming back next time I want to build something!

This is a very cool store with something for everyone. Interesting things in every aisle with above and beyond helpful staff. He helped me find a Warhammer set my son has been looking even though they have out of stock for months. Thanks again!

The event there for the 30 minute fantasy soldier set was amazing, the guy at the register was informative about Warhammer and certainly made the day more exciting for next visit!

I bought a couple of cans of polycarbonate paint to use on a lexan rc body and they were the only store within an hour (I live in Indiana) from me. When I got home to paint my car body the paint was spattering badly with the first can(black) and I was frustrated as they are $16 each. After I unmasked the rest and started the main color (white) I noticed it was doing the same. Then on my second coat the can stuck open and was leaking paint out until empty. I stopped back in and explained the issue to the mgr, this happens primarily when paint freezes, the contents separate and ruins the paint. They told me to bring the cans in and they would call the rep and see what they can do but were apprehensive about swapping cans in case there was an issue with others too. Next time I came in, they without question returned my money and took the cans. I was floored- and they knew me by name! The $35 I got back I spent in store and actually spent twice what I was planning on spending that day. They have great sales and I cleared out a ton of their clearance items. This simple customer care act made me a loyal customer, I've been back multiple times and recommend HT to anyone I talk to about rc stuff. Very thankful and pleased with this store!

First time here and will definitely be returning. I was impressed by the variety of items, from scale trains, slot cars, lego, RC, etc. all very reasonably priced. They have an awesome 6 foot gundam, one of a few stateside apparently. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you.

Hands down one of the best hobby shop environments I’ve been a part of. HobbyTown Orland Park has built something special with their Kyosho Mini-Z racing and Losi Micro B & T scene. Having two different tracks and platforms running gives everyone options, and the racing stays competitive and fun every time. They carry a solid selection of Mini-Z and Micro upgrades, and you can tell they genuinely try to keep parts available and support what the racers are actually running. That goes a long way. What really stands out is how they listen to the community. We went from limited racing to now getting back-to-back race nights, and that’s because they paid attention and made it happen for everyone. The team energy is great, the racers are supportive, and it truly feels like a community—not just a place to show up and run laps. Everyone helps each other, pushes each other, and makes the whole experience better. If you’re into Mini-Z or micro racing, this is the spot. Looking forward to many more race nights.
